437. Finch's Beer Company Fascist Pig Ale

Nice strong and full flavors, well balanced and not too bitter. Very enjoyable.

436. Rogue Yellow Snow IPA

Lots of fruity flavors upfront that start smooth, but quickly goes bitter. Then it has a lingering bitter aftertaste that I'm not a fan of. It's not a bad IPA, but hoppier than I prefer. 

Also, for the first time, I used a new IPA glass. It was co-created by Sam Caligone of Dogfish Head.

435. Indiana City Brewing Mimi's Tabernacle

Breakfast Stout.

Oatmeal and Maple Syrup. 

Really, really good!  Very enjoyable. The oatmeal taste is very prominent. The syrup creeps up on you. Glad I got here when I did, they are on their last keg!

434. Ommegang Rare Vos

Great flavors all the way!!!  This was a gift from my buddy Dave Richmond. It was one of the Ommegang's I had yet to try. I really enjoy it. Smooth, with a great blend of fruity flavors that go down easy.

Really a fan of everything I try from Ommegang. 

433. New Holland Cabin Fever

Generally, I'm a big fan of brown ales. This one is just a little odd....  Reading about it, I assume it's the raisins. It just adds an odd flavor that I'm not really a fan off. No bitter, so it does go down easy, only complaint is that little flavor.

432. Southern Tier Krampus

It's interesting. Not really great, but not terrible. Spicy flavors that are really smooth and almost no bitters. An odd lingering aftertaste...  I'll enjoy it, but won't be drinking it religiously, like Benjamin Grinchby will be.

431. Oskar Blues Deviant Dale's

A flavor-full and hop-full beer. 

Lots of good flavors up front, but finishes with more bitters than I prefer. Very quality product.

430. New Glarus Spotted Cow

This one that a lot of people have been raving about, and I'm just now getting around to trying it. This one was a gift from my buddy Ryan Miller.

It's pretty darn good. I really enjoy the flavors up front - there's quite a few of them - it goes downs fairly easily, with a medium bodied feel. My only complaint might be that the flavors don't longer too long. In the time I've typed this, I've lost all flavor and I'm ready for another drink. 

429. Two Brothers Domaine du Page

It's SO CLOSE to a sour - in my opinion. It's just got that small, tiny, minor sour aftertaste, that I enjoy.  I won't say the flavor is outstanding, but it's smooth and fruity, and a great finish. 

428. New Holland White Hatter WPA

It's an interesting blend. Nice and fruity flavor of a Belgian, but a thick and heavy finish of a quality Pale Ale. Good flavor overall, I'm enjoying it. 

427. Goose Island Sixth Day

It's a typical brown ale. No real special flavors or taste, but I like brown ales, so I'm going to drink a lot of them.

426. Upland Teddy Bear Kisses

Goes down quick and smooth, but then hit hard with massive bitterness, before finishing with a serious chocolate aftertaste. If I liked bitter and chocolate more - this would be more enjoyable for me. 

425. Veteran Beer Company Blonde Bomber

A little more flavor than a typical blonde ale, but nothing super special. Good flavor, easy to drink.

424. Triton Gingerbread Brown

Smells AMAZING!

It's a good, standard brown ale. 

Nice flavor, but the gingerbread is pretty subtle compared to the aroma. 

I enjoy this, and will probably enjoy many more during the holidays. 

423. Sam Adams Cherry Chocolate Bock

Very nice and smooth and drinkable.

Delivers both flavors very well and balanced, no bitters. I just wish I liked chocolate more...

422. Sam Adams Juniper IPA

I really like the aroma, but the beer is just ok. It's a very standard IPA, not too bitter, but very dry. Leaves me thirsty as soon as I'm done drinking. Nothing really extremely good or bad about this beer. It's drinkable, but nothing I'll seek out ever again.

421. Samuel Adams White Christmas

Interesting.

Good interesting.

It's goes down super smooth, like any regular ale - then as soon as you stop drinking, that cinnamon/nutmeg flavor kicks in, and it's kind of weird at first, but it grew on my quickly. Once I knew what to expect, later drinks were very enjoyable!

420. Stone Enjoy By 11.12.13 IPA

Felt like today was the only day that 11.12.13 could be and should be drank. 

Lots of full flavor up front, with very bold citrus notes. Typical of Stone, there is a lot of bitter on the backside. Therefore, I really enjoy half of this beer!

419. Lost Abbey Serpents Stout

Found this picture on my phone from Saturday night. I got so busy talking with friends of Gabe that I neglected to add it that night. 

I remember it being very enjoyable. 

418. Oskar Blues Ten FIDY

Oh. WOW.

I'm like some stouts - I LIKE this stout. 

It's smooth and easy to drink. Good flavors!  Goes down easy, leaves a nice chocolate-like after taste. It's a power punch, that you never see coming!  This. Could. Get. Dangerous!

417. Oskar Blues G'Knight

Imperial RED IPA???

Ok. Word. 

Obviously dry-hopped, which is my only complaint. The flavor is good and bold, but leaves my palate very dry and needing an instant drink. 

416. Oskar Blues Old Chub

I really enjoy this, and I can't figure out why. It's smooth and easy to drink, very low bitters and an almost chocolate after taste. But still, it just hits me the right way. I dig it. I probably couldn't do a lot of them, but I'm enjoying it!

415. Oskar Blues Mama's Little Yella Pils

Clean, crisp, smooth, just a nice extra touch of flavor. I could drink this all day long. 

414. Oskar Blues Brewery Dale's Pale Ale

Oskar Blues has finally become available in Indiana!  I'm enjoying their flagship beer first!  

Nice, solid beer. Perhaps a little more bitter than I prefer, but nothing I can't handle. 

413. Fountain Square Soul Ride

Sadly, this is another bust from Fountain Square for me. It's also a bust IPA for me, as it is a much more bitter beer than I enjoy. I don't get any of the citrus flavor this beer boasts, and the aftertaste isn't enjoyable. 

412. Schlafly Oktoberfest

This is an Oktoberfest that I was looking for previously, but never found. Came across it tonight, so I grabbed a bottle. 

I would consider this my first "Medium Oktoberfest".  Many of them this year were very "light" Oktoberfest beers, which I thought was odd, but adjusted to it. This one, it's a little heavier, has good flavor, but it doesn't feel heavy while drinking it - as the traditional Oktoberfest should. 

411. BrewDog Bashah

So, I'm re-watching the Pilot episode of "Brew Dogs" as I drink this libation. In the episode James and Martin visit Stone Brewing in San Diego - but this is not the beer they created.

It's really full of flavor, but the bitter hops in the back half are more than I care for. True HopHeads will probably enjoy this a lot more than I do - but I am still as voting the flavors up front. 

A Black Belgian Style Double IPA is a bizarre combination of styles, but still manages to be smooth with distinct phases. 

410. Samuel Adams Dark Depths

Nice aroma, good balance - not too bitter. Some nice flavor up front, but a rather odd aftertaste. Not bad, but kind of dry. 

Tonight, I'm watching the "Brew Dogs" Finale, so in my standard attempt - I'm drinking a beer from the brewery James and Martin team up with. For the finale, they are in Boston with Jim Koch. Going to enjoy this beer and be sad about the show's first season ending. 

409. Anchor Brewing Liberty Ale

The dry hopping is very obvious, luckily it does bring some full flavor on the back half that quickly covers that up. Smells really nice and goes down fairly smooth. The natural carbonation gives it a nice and special quality. 

408. Anchor Brewing California Lager

Eh...  Drinks quick and easy, but I'm not a fan of the dry and bitter after taste it leaves. Not much in the way of flavor either. 

407. Southern Tier Brewing Company Live

A bottle conditioned ale had me intrigued. It does seem to add a little bit to the flavor, but it's still just a glorified pale ale. Lots of flavor up front, but it doesn't last long.

406. Stone IPA

I know I've had this beer before, but it was not yet documented on the website. 

I didn't think I liked it, and sadly I was right - and I still don't care for it. Too dry and hoppy for me, with no other flavors. The bitter lingers far too long. 

I know most of my HopHead friends like this one, sadly it's not for me. 

405. Leinenkugel's Snowdrift Vanilla Porter

This a Porter that I enjoy. Almost no bitter at all, vanilla hits up front at first and then the chocolate slows creeps up on the back. I like this overall. 

404. New Belgium Accumulation

Lots of citrus up front, but after that it leaves my mouth pretty dry. Which, I guess works, if you want me to keep drinking and never stop.

403. Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale

Starts off really nice and smooth and easy, finishes a little too bitter for me. I enjoy the start, the finish not so much. 

402. Harpoon UFO

Tastes like a watered down Blue Moon. Light beer, light on flavor. 

401. Ommegang Adoration

Really smooth and delicious beer. First ever winter ale that I can remember using Grains of Paradise. Makes for a really enjoyable experience. 

Being bottle-conditioned, I'm worried this one hasn't aged enough. Doesn't seem to posses much carbonation, as if cask-conditioned. Luckily, the flavors are so abundant that it makes it very pleasing to the pallet. 

400. Ommegang Art of Darkness

Beer Four Hundred!!!

I wanted something special here, and since I'm pretty into Ommegang Brewery right now, I figured a Limited Edition beer from them was a great choice. They will also be 401...

It's an interesting beer. Smooth and light, but insane flavor. Perhaps too much flavor?  It's tough to process all of it. It finishes with a wee bit of a spike in bitter, but it's not terrible. Good beer overall. But nothing I'll be forcing myself to drink again. 

399. Indiana City Brewing Red Collar

When we first arrived this beer was "not available" because they ran out earlier in the day. Talking with the bartender, he hooked us up with a glass he had on the side. Very good customer service!

Very bold flavor up front, marinates in the mouth for a few. Goes down really smooth with a minor hop bite on the way. Very glad I got to try it, probably my favorite of theirs today. 

398. Indiana City Brewing Autumn's Brown Ale

Smells amazing, and drinks pretty smooth. Nothing super special, but enjoyable.

397. Indiana City Brewing Shadow Boxer

Stout aren't my favorite, but this goes down nice and smooth and I enjoy the hint of oatmeal it leaves behind. Kind of leaves my mouth very dry at the finish, but I'll survive. One of the better stouts I've had.

396. Indiana City Brewing Beyond the Pale

Far too bitter and hoppy. Just does not go down smooth and leaves a mouthful of hops in its wake. It would be good for Hop Lovers, sadly I am not one.

395. Indiana City Brewing Yacht Rock

Very great citrus flavor, goes down really smooth.
